Situation
  • Surrounding community housing projects experiencing change and impact from historic flooding from Hurricane Sandy and multiple mega-warehouse construction.
Response
  • Researched, Deep Mapped and surveyed three specific locations into historical records over 200 years;
  • Collected oral histories and interviews from key actors, as well as soil and geological samples; 
  • Conducted large public program introducing the public to our process; 
  • Production of several annotated essays of place for later sharing and publication in architectural journal.
